Why is Piezo-Crystal better than Piezo-Film?

The crystal generates a much stronger signal, allowing the use of a more effective filtering circuit. It is less sensitive to noise pickup from wire movements, and has a lower low frequency cut off, decreasing chances for a false "paradoxical breathing" if it becomes loose during the night.
